FIRST RESPONDERS

CFR Training

Subject to acceptance of your application, and the completion of relevant checks, you will be invited on a Scottish Ambulance training course.  You will be sent pre course training material several weeks in advance, and then expected to attended a 4 day training course.  This course is usually spread out over two weekends.

After completion of an assesment, you will be a Community First Responder.  

All First Responders are required to keep their skills up to date every 6 months. Monthly training is provided by each scheme (so it's local) and you will be expect to attend 6 of these a year.
